Have you ever thought what problem you can face if the fat in your body becomes excessive? The answer might be negatives. As most of us don't think of the harms related to our habit. We only consider them when they become visible or painful. Excessive eating and unhealthy intake of food are also distinguished as a habit and can become a reason for obesity. Obesity is the state in which the body fat of an individual cause some serious health problems.

Although many of us don't take obesity as a disease, but once we understand and the study the harms it can have on our body, we might think of treating it. Obesity has many reasons attached with it, but the most common one is the unhealthy eating habits and lack of physical activity. It can harm the body in many ways. It is important to have know how about these harms so the main cause can be prevented from aggravating.

The most common and observed harms caused by obesity are respiratory disorders. Obesity can cause obstruction in breathing because the fats around the throat or neck obstruct the breathing canal of an individual. This condition is called obstructive sleep apnea, and it usually appears during the night. Furthermore, Obesity can become the reason of asthma is many individuals, especially among the young children. Apart from respiratory diseases obesity also has a harmful impact in various glands.

The most common effect of obesity on a gland is known diabetes. It is caused when one of the glands stops producing a hormone called insulin. High concentration of fat cells in the body causes the pancreatic gland to produce a greater amount of insulin, which eventually wears out the gland. Cancer is another harm of obesity. The fat cells in the body affect some hormone in the body and increase their production, which becomes the cause of cancer.

Apart from various physical harms, obesity is also responsible for causing much psychological harm. It has been observed that the depression rate in obese people much greater than normal people. Depression itself causes another psychological harm like anxiety. So, timely treatment of obesity is important to avoid the psychological and physical harms.
